The Timing of Jet lag…
It is 3am in Hong Kong and I am wide awake. I went to sleep pretty early as I was exhausted at 10pm. I was wide awake at midnight. I refused to get out of bed until 1am. I am in Hong Kong for a trade show where watch brands and component suppliers meet. I come almost every year and go through same thing. I find myself working about 20 hours a day. On the one hand I feel accomplished. I get so much done. I work all day long and then because of the 12 hour time difference, as I should be going to bed, NY is waking up and I start working again. I find myself constantly looking at my Croton watch (shameless plug) and saying I should be sleeping….but I am not tired. On the other hand I know it is not good to function on so little sleep and know that it will catch up with me.
So what’s the point of my musings, well there really isn’t one except it gives me something to do at 3am. I take that back, I have come to the realization that I am constantly looking at my wrist and checking out not only how nice my beautiful men’s croton watch (SEO search term purposely added) looks but also the time. The industry is abuzz discussing the future of watches in a cell phone world and while I think it is an interesting conversation I still find comfort in the quick flip of my wrist, as I am sure many of us do, knowing I have two more hours until I have to get up.
So when I am jet lagged, outside of work, I now write blog posts, share pics of my wrist jewelry and try to kill some time reading and flipping through the TV (there is nothing on). What do you do when you are jet lagged…..
